Tension spread in Chaumun town near Jaipur in Rajasthan at midnight when a dispute broke out over the removal of stones from outside a mosque near the bus stand. Within no time, the situation worsened and the matter turned into a violent clash. According to reports, the police had to resort to tear gas to control the situation, while there were also reports of stone pelting on the police. As a precautionary measure, the administration shut down internet services in the area. This morning the police also took out a flag march to maintain normalcy.
