On Veer Bal Diwas, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that history is made only through renunciation and sacrifice. Paying tribute to the sacrifices of the Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, he called upon the new generation to take inspiration.

On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas organized in the memory of the sons of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji who made supreme sacrifice for the protection of religion and country and the 350th martyrdom year of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that history is made by those who have the spirit of sacrifice and sacrifice in their mind. He said that the tradition established by the Sikh Gurus of sacrificing everything for their religion and country is the path to India’s progress.
Shabad recitation and kirtan gathering organized at Chief Minister’s residence
On the occasion of Veer Bal Diwas, Shabad recitation and Kirtan Samagam was organized at the Chief Minister’s residence, 5 Kalidas Marg. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath bowed his head to Guru Granth Sahib at the beginning of the program. After this he listened to Shabad Kirtan and the story of the immortal sacrifice of Sahibzadas with devotion.
Children performing Kirtan honored, booklet released
The Chief Minister honored the children performing Shabad Kirtan by wearing them patkas and gave them awards. On this occasion, he also released a booklet named ‘Chhote Sahibzade’, so that the new generation can be inspired by the sacrifice of Sahibzades.
Veer Bal Diwas: A day to pay tribute to the sacrifice of Sahibzadas
CM Yogi said that celebrating the martyrdom day of four Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji – Baba Ajit Singh, Baba Jujhar Singh, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh – as Veer Bal Diwas is an opportunity to pay tribute to their immortal sacrifice for their religion and country. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi that this day was recognized at the national level, respecting the spirit of the Sikh community.
History of Sikh Gurus Confluence of devotion and power
The Chief Minister said that the history of Sikh Gurus is the history of devotion and power in India. Guru Nanak Dev Ji awakened the flame of Sikhism and traveled across the country to propagate it. Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji made this tradition exemplary with their sacrifice and devotion.
Special significance of 350th martyrdom year of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji
CM Yogi said that this year the 350th year of the martyrdom day of the ninth Guru of Sikhs, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, is being celebrated. He told that he has had the privilege of participating in these programs many times. He described it as a special coincidence that on the occasion of 550th Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, it was announced to celebrate Veer Bal Diwas on 26th December.
Veer Bal Diwas programs across the country, sagas included in the curriculum
The Chief Minister said that today Veer Bal Diwas programs are being organized in every school, college and office of the country. The sagas of Sahibzadas have been included in the educational curriculum, so that the new generation can take inspiration of renunciation, sacrifice and patriotism.
Langar tradition a living example of social harmony
CM Yogi said that the Langar tradition of Sikhism is an excellent example of social harmony, where no one’s caste or religion is asked. Guru Gobind Singh ji worked to bind the society in the thread of unity and equality.
Veer Bal Diwas, a festival of inspiration for every youth
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid tribute to the memories of Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, Mata Gujri Devi and the four Sahibzadas. He said that Veer Bal Diwas is a day of inspiration for every Indian youth. Recitation of Anand Sahib, participation in ardas and langar
At the end of the program there was recitation and ardas of Anand Sahib. After this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also participated in the langar along with ministers Swatantra Dev Singh, Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ and Aseem Arun.
