This case pertains to a childcare center where employees used to leave their children of two to three years of age during office hours.
There was a stir after the video surfaced
According to the police, the complaint has been registered on the basis of the viral video. It is alleged that in the video, small children are being intimidated and physically abused for crying. The complainant claims that in the video, some children were made to sit inside a front-loading washing machine, some were forced to sit on a western toilet, while some children had water poured into their mouths from toilet jet spray. Apart from this, allegations have also been made of scaring the children into keeping quiet by locking them in the bathroom. The investigation into these allegations is still ongoing and the police have said that the authenticity of the video and all the incidents will be verified.
FIR against five female caregivers
Bengaluru Police has registered an FIR against five female caregivers under relevant sections of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act. The investigating officer will soon interrogate all the accused women. At present the police are examining the video, day-care center records and other evidence.

This matter came to light on Monday when the alleged videos started going viral on WhatsApp. After this, the matter was informed to the Child Helpline, which alerted the police. After receiving the complaint, the police started immediate action.

According to the police, this day-care center operated on the premises of a Bengaluru-based IT company, where employees used to leave their small children while working.
