Ashadha Amavasya 2026: Amavasya date is considered very sacred in Sanatan Dharma. The month of Ashadh has started. Ashadh Amavasya falls in this month. - According to Drik Panchang, in the year 2026, the Amavasya date of Krishna Paksha of Ashadha month will start on Monday, July 13 at 06:49 pm.
- This date will end on Tuesday, July 14 at 03:12 pm.
In such a situation, according to the belief of Udayatithi, this year the Amavasya of Ashadh month will be celebrated on Tuesday, 14th July.
Why is it called Halharini Amavasya?
On the new moon day of Ashadh month, farmers worship their plow or other agricultural equipment. Farmers pray to God on this day for a good harvest. For this reason this Amavasya is called Halharini Amavasya. Food is considered an integral part of life. There is shortage of food due to crop failure. Inflation and livelihood related problems increase.
Common people are affected by this. There is a religious belief that by worshiping the farmers on the new moon day of the month of Ashadh, the kings of gods Indra and Sun God are pleased and with their grace the weather remains favorable for the crop.
Ashadh Amavasya bathing time(Ashadha Amavasya 2026 Snan Muhurat)
Brahma Muhurta is considered to be the best time to take bath on any fast or festival. On the day of Ashadh Amavasya, Brahma Muhurta will start from 04:11 am and will last till 04:52 pm. Take bath in Brahma Muhurta on Ashadh Amavasya. If you are not able to do this, you can take bath even after 05:33 am after sunrise. It is good if you can take a river bath on the day of Ashadh Amavasya, otherwise it would be auspicious to take bath by mixing Ganga water in water at home.
