Paush Putrada Ekadashi 2025: In Sanatan Dharma, Lord Shri Hari Vishnu is considered the protector of the world. It is believed that by worshiping Lord Vishnu, all the sorrows of life are removed and after death one gets a place in Vaikuntha Dham. Ekadashi day is considered the most auspicious day to receive the blessings of Lord Vishnu, because this day is dedicated to Lord Vishnu only. On this day, special worship and fasting of Lord Vishnu is done. A total of 24 Ekadashi fasts are observed in a year.
Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Paush month is called Paush Putrada Ekadashi. The fast of Pausha Putrada Ekadashi is considered very fruitful for those who wish to have a child. Observing this fast brings happiness and peace in life, but this time there is doubt in the minds of people regarding the date of this Ekadashi fast. When is Paush Putrada Ekadashi (When is Paush Putrada Ekadashi 2025)
According to Drik Panchang, the Ekadashi date of Shukla Paksha of Paush month will start on 30th December at 7.50 am. This Ekadashi date will end on 31st December at 05 am. Putrada Ekadashi fast will be observed for two days on 30th and 31st December this year. People of household life will observe Ekadashi fast on 30th December. People who follow Vaishnav tradition will observe its fast on 31st December.
Paush Putrada Ekadashi Snan And Puja Subh Muhurat (Paush Putrada Ekadashi 2025 Snan And Puja Subh Muhurat)
The auspicious Brahma Muhurta for worship on 30th December, on the day of Pausha Putrada Ekadashi, will start at 5.24 am. This auspicious time will last till 06:19 pm. It would be best to perform puja after bathing in this auspicious time. On this day, Abhijeet Muhurta will start at 12:03 pm. This auspicious time will last till 12.44 pm.
Paush Putrada Ekadashi Puja Vidhi
- On the day of Paush Putrada Ekadashi, wake up before sunrise and take bath and meditate.
- Take a resolution to observe Ekadashi fast as per the rituals.
- Keep the idol or picture of Lord Vishnu.
- Bathe them with Panchamrit.
- Offer yellow clothes, yellow flowers, Tulsi leaves, Akshat and incense sticks.
- Offer yellow sweets and fruits to Lord Vishnu.
- Be sure to include Tulsi leaves in the offering.
- Chant the mantra “Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay” 108 times.
- Recite the story of Pausha Putrada Ekadashi fast.
- Finally complete the puja by performing aarti.
