UP School Holiday News: Due to severe cold and dense fog in Uttar Pradesh, schools have been closed in many districts. Holiday has been declared till class 8 in many districts including Rae Bareli, Lucknow, Varanasi. The meteorological department has issued a fog alert.
Cold has now started showing its intensity in Uttar Pradesh. Dense fog and falling temperatures in the early morning are becoming a risk for children. In view of this, the administration in many districts of the state has decided to keep schools closed as a precautionary measure. Giving priority to the safety and health of children, District Magistrates have issued holiday orders in different districts.
Schools closed in Rae Bareli till 26th December
In Rae Bareli district, schools have been ordered to remain closed for students of classes 1 to 8 till December 26. After this, due to Martyrdom Day on 27th December and then Sunday, schools will not open till Monday. After a few days, winter holidays are going to start, due to which the students are going to get continuous relief.

Decision of holiday in other districts also
In Maharajganj, Sitapur, Hardoi, Lucknow and Varanasi, schools up to class 8th will also remain closed till December 28. In Shahjahanpur district, instructions have been given to keep pre-primary schools closed, while orders have been issued to operate schools from classes 1 to 8 from 10 am.
Countdown to winter vacation begins
It is considered certain that winter vacation of schools will start in the state after December 31. Considering the severity of the weather, if the effect of cold and cold wave increases then the duration of holidays can be extended further. In such a situation, parents and students have been advised to keep an eye on the instructions issued by the administration.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of dense fog for Eastern Uttar Pradesh i.e. Purvanchal. Widespread effect of fog can be seen in many districts including Kanpur, Meerut, Barabanki, Bahraich, Prayagraj, Sultanpur, Fatehgarh, Gorakhpur, Azamgarh, Banda, Basti, Ballia, Hardoi, Ayodhya, Shravasti, Varanasi and Shahjahanpur.
Overall, the closure of schools in many districts of UP amid cold and fog is being considered as a big step towards the safety of children, which has also brought relief to the parents.
