A case of arrest of a police constable has come to light from Jaipur, Rajasthan, where the team of Anti Corruption Bureau went out for surprise inspection and reached Mahila Police Station of Bharatpur. Here the Anti Corruption Bureau recovered suspicious cash worth Rs 4.54 lakh. An officer has given information about this entire matter, from where the cash was recovered, the official residence of the police station officer was also searched, and cash worth more than one lakh was recovered from there also.
Actually, Rajasthan Anti Corruption Bureau got information that Mahila police station officer Sub Inspector Bhanwar Singh and his own reader constable Jai Singh had taken bribe. After this a surprise inspection was conducted. Many different files were kept in a cupboard in the police station. 15 envelopes were found in these files, inside which bundles of Rs 500-500 notes were hidden. Cash worth Rs 4.54 lakh was recovered from this.
Cash also recovered from government residence
Information about taking bribe was received by Police Director General Ravi Prakash Meharda. He told that cash worth more than one lakh was recovered from the official residence of the police station in-charge. Along with this he said that now further investigation is being done. In this way, on the basis of information received by Director General Ravi Prakash Mehrada, the police constable was caught red handed while taking bribe.
Now ACB team will take further action
The police officer himself informed about the arrest of the police constable. Now the Anti Corruption Bureau team will take further action regarding the envelopes kept inside the files and the money found inside them. By-elections are being held on seven seats in Rajasthan today, on 13 November (Wednesday), for which voting has also started. 69 candidates have entered the fray to try their luck for seven seats. The Anti Corruption Bureau team has taken this action amid the election atmosphere in the state.
