Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India sold 16.11 lakh units in Q1FY27. Sales recorded year-on-year growth of 17% and 23% in June 2026.

Honda Sales Report: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt Ltd (HMSI) has posted a strong performance in the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27 (Q1FY27). During April to June 2026, the company sold a total of 16.11 lakh two-wheeler units. In the same period of the last financial year (Q1FY26), this figure was 13.75 lakh units. In this way the company registered a growth of 17% on year-on-year basis.

Domestic sales increased by 15% and exports by 36% in Q1FY27.

Domestic sales of HMSI during April-June 2026 stood at 14.13 lakh units. In the same period last year, the company had sold 12.28 lakh units. That means the company achieved an annual growth of 15% in the domestic market. At the same time, the export performance of the company was even better. HMSI exported 1.98 lakh units in Q1FY27, while the figure stood at 1.46 lakh units in Q1FY26. In this way an annual growth of 36% was recorded in exports.

What did CEO Tsutsumu Otani say?

Tsutsumu Otani, President and CEO of Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, expressed happiness over the company’s performance. He said, “We have recorded good growth in the first quarter of FY2027 compared to the same period last year. This is a result of sustained market demand, disciplined work style and our strategy to continuously improve ourselves as per the changing needs of customers.” He further said that the company is continuously monitoring the changing market conditions and is committed to meeting its business priorities. According to Otani, “With the help of our strong product portfolio and wide dealer network spread across the country, we aim to achieve sustainable growth in the times to come.”

Great increase of 23% in sales in June 2026

Talking about June 2026 alone, the company recorded total sales of 5.28 lakh units. In June 2025, the company had sold 4.29 lakh units. In comparison, an annual increase of 23% was recorded in sales for June 2026.

Strong performance in domestic market also

Domestic sales of HMSI in June 2026 stood at 4.68 lakh units. This is 21% more than in June 2025, which clearly shows that the company’s demand in the Indian market remains strong.

Big jump of 47% in exports

In June 2026, the company exported 0.59 lakh units. This represents an annual increase of 47% compared to June 2025. This shows that the demand for HMSI products is increasing rapidly in international markets also.
