Bengaluru: Even before one month of marriage was completed, a new bride committed suicide by hanging herself. This tragic incident took place in the Bagalgunte police station area of the city. Aishwarya CK (24), resident of Maddur in Mandya district, is the unlucky bride. Aishwarya was married with great pomp to Likhit Singh, resident of Mallasandra, Bengaluru, on November 27 last. But it is being said that fights started between the two from the very first day of their marriage. There are serious allegations against her husband Likhit and mother-in-law of harassing her on small matters. It is said that Likhit repeatedly told Aishwarya’s parents, ‘Take your daughter back to your home’.
Death within hours of parents’ arrival
On Wednesday (yesterday) morning itself, Aishwarya’s parents had come to her in-laws’ house in Mallasandra and made reconciliation between the husband and wife. Saying ‘Stay well from now on’, they returned to Maddur. But before they could reach home, they got the heartbreaking news that their daughter had committed suicide by hanging herself.
Murder allegation and police investigation
The parents of the deceased said angrily, ‘Our daughter was not so cowardly as to commit suicide, this was a murder committed by her husband and mother-in-law.’ A case has been registered at Bagalgunte police station and the police are interrogating Likhit Singh and his family members. At present, Aishwarya’s body has been sent to Victoria Hospital for post-mortem.
