Lonavala (Maharashtra): Pune Police took a major action in the Ketan Aggarwal murder case on Wednesday. The police took accused Chetan Chaudhary to Lohgarh Fort near Pune, so that the crime scene could be recreated. In the entire process, a dummy equal to Ketan’s weight was used, so that it could be understood what and how the accused had allegedly done on the day of the incident.

Crime scene recreation with Chetan after Siya
- After reconstructing the crime scene, Pune Rural’s Additional Superintendent of Police, Shubham Kumar, said that the dummy was designed according to the weight of the deceased.
- He said, “We took Chetan Chaudhary for scene reconstruction, and he told us the entire sequence of events of that day. The investigation is still going on. The dummy was made according to Ketan’s weight.”
Attempt to solve Ketan murder mystery
- The purpose of this entire exercise was to verify the evidence through forensic gate-matching. Gait analysis studies the way a person walks or runs. Police use it when a suspect is captured on video or CCTV footage.
- Crime scene reconstruction work has already been completed with Sia Goyal, the second accused in the case.
Police sealed Lohgarh Fort
- Earlier on Tuesday, the police had completely closed the fort for tourists to carry out investigation procedures. The tourists who were already there were also thrown out.
- This fort was closed earlier also when the police had come to recreate the crime scene with accused Siya Goyal as part of the investigation.
Ketan Agarwal murder case?
Let us tell you that on June 18, Ketan Aggarwal died after falling from Lohgarh Fort near Pune, after which a case was registered. Lonavala Rural Police suspect that the main accused Siya Goyal, who was engaged to Ketan, did not want to get married at this stage of her life. It is alleged that there was family pressure on her for marriage.
Case reached fast-track court
- Following the incident, the Maharashtra government has approved setting up a fast-track court for the case and appointed senior lawyer and Rajya Sabha MP Ujjwal Nikam as special public prosecutor.
- Meanwhile, accused Siya Goyal and his friend Chetan Choudhary were arrested on June 23 and are in police custody till July 3 while the investigation is ongoing.
