From black salt to BrahMos, Yogi government’s model gives new impetus to UP’s economy. Up Assembly Winter Session Yogi Adityanath Msme Brahmos Lucknow Economic Growth

While discussing the supplementary budget, CM Yogi said that UP has made historic progress in MSME, investment, exports and employment. Branding, law and order and transparent policies have made the state a dream destination for investors.

Lucknow. During the discussion on the supplementary budget in the winter session of the Assembly, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that along with government jobs, new strength has been given to the MSME sector in Uttar Pradesh by strengthening traditional industries. Its direct impact has come in the form of investment, exports and employment.

The Chief Minister said that earlier governments did not pay attention to these traditional products, whereas the present government gave priority to their branding, packaging and export. He bluntly said that the government stands with full sympathy and commitment towards the poor and is working without any discrimination for the welfare and security of the population of 25 crores.

Black salt rice becomes a globally recognized brand

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that a specific product like black salt rice was never taken seriously before. Our government ensured its branding, modern packaging and access to international markets.

He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself is alert to promote local products. Giving the example of Varanasi, the Chief Minister said that it has played an important role in establishing black salt rice as a special brand.

The Chief Minister said that earlier such products remained neglected due to lack of willpower. Every district of the state had a specific product, but due to lack of technology, design and marketing, they were on the verge of closure. The government provided them necessary facilities and today Uttar Pradesh has the largest MSME network in the country.

96 lakh MSME units, employment to 2.25 crore families

The Chief Minister said that about 96 lakh MSME units are working in the state, which support the livelihood of about two and a half crore families. Today, Uttar Pradesh is exporting more than ₹ 2 lakh crore through MSME sector, which is a proof of the economic strength of the state.

Historic jump in investment, GBC worth Rs 5 lakh crore soon

Uttar Pradesh has taken a big leap on the investment front. The Chief Minister said that till now the state has received investment proposals worth ₹45 lakh crore, out of which projects worth more than ₹15 lakh crore have come on the ground.

These have provided direct employment to more than 7 lakh youth. Projects worth ₹5 lakh crore are ready for ground breaking ceremony. The Chief Minister said that this is the new Uttar Pradesh of the new India, where the youth are no longer forced to wander for employment.

BrahMos construction in Lucknow, local employment for youth

The Chief Minister said that BrahMos missile is now being manufactured in Lucknow, which is a major achievement of the Defense Manufacturing Corridor. All the youth working in this project are from Uttar Pradesh. ITI, Polytechnic and engineering pass youth are getting employment in the state itself.

Never discriminated on the basis of face in schemes

On welfare schemes, the Chief Minister clearly said that the government never gave benefits looking at the face. Schemes like housing, ration, Ujjwala gas, Ayushman card and Chief Minister’s Relief Fund were implemented without discrimination. He said that no area in 403 assembly constituencies will be deprived of development. There are regular reviews of all departments and the progress of the schemes is monitored directly at the government level.

Attack on previous governments, praise for law and order

On the last day of the winter session, the Chief Minister attacked the Samajwadi Party and said that the schemes of the previous governments kept falling prey to corruption. JPNIC and Gomti Riverfront are examples of this, while our government completed projects like Purvanchal Expressway with lower cost and better quality. He said that today there are neither riots nor anarchy in Uttar Pradesh. The rule of law has been established and there is a safe environment for investors.

Major reforms in farmers, police and women safety

The Chief Minister said that ₹2.92 lakh crore has been paid to sugarcane farmers so far. Law and order has been strengthened by the expansion of Police Commissionerate system, forensic labs, cyber police stations and establishment of women PAC battalion. Today in Uttar Pradesh there is a strict warning for criminals and a guarantee of safety for the citizens.

Supplementary budget brought in view of needs

The Chief Minister said that when the provision in the regular budget is not sufficient for new schemes or additional requirements, then it is necessary to bring a supplementary budget. He said that the original budget for the year 2025-26 was ₹8,08,736 crore, while a supplementary budget of ₹24,496.98 crore has been presented. Thus, the total budget becomes ₹8,33,233.04 crore, which includes expressways, energy, health, urban amenities, technical education and women empowerment.

UP becomes dream destination for investors

The Chief Minister said that today Uttar Pradesh has become a dream destination for investors. Due to the clear policy, quick decisions and effective implementation of the double engine government, UP has moved from the category of sick state to a revenue surplus state. There are now 35 sectoral policies in the state and due to the transparent system the confidence of investors has increased.

UP towards fearless business and strong economy

The Chief Minister said that due to the zero tolerance policy, a culture of fearless business and ease of doing business has developed in UP today. The GSDP of the state is increasing from ₹12.88 lakh crore to ₹35-36 lakh crore. Per capita income has increased from ₹ 43,000 to about ₹ 1.20 lakh. The CD ratio has increased from 44 percent to 62-65 percent and the target is to take it to 70 percent. No new tax has been imposed in the last eight and a half years and diesel and petrol are the cheapest in UP today.
