Murder of Dalit Hindu in Bangladesh, question on silence of opposition

The Chief Minister said that a Dalit Hindu youth was murdered in Bangladesh, but not a single word was spoken by the opposition. He said that the parties which shed tears on the issue of Gaza Strip, are silent on the death of that young man, because they see the Dalit community only as a vote bank.

The Chief Minister said that this truth exposes the appeasement policy of the opposition. If countries like Bangladesh and Pakistan had not been formed, Hindus would not have been targeted like this. If anyone did this, he would have to face serious consequences.

He raised the question as to why the parties carrying out candle march on Gaza issue remain silent on the atrocities being committed on Hindus and Sikhs in Pakistan and Bangladesh. The Chief Minister said that a condemnation motion should be passed on the incident in Bangladesh and this motion should come from the Leader of the Opposition. He clearly said that we strongly condemn this incident.

He said that now screening will be done at every level and effective action will be taken. He bluntly said that committing crimes against our citizens while living in our country and committing atrocities on innocent Hindus and Sikhs outside is not acceptable under any circumstances.

Strong mechanism to link agriculture with market and infrastructure

During the discussion on the supplementary budget in the winter session of the Assembly, the Chief Minister said that today a strong structure has been prepared in Uttar Pradesh to link farming with market, technology and infrastructure. Due to expressways, logistics parks and better connectivity, farmers’ produce is now easily reaching national and international markets. To strengthen the agricultural value chain, storage, processing centers and cold chain infrastructure have been developed, due to which investment in the agricultural sector has also increased rapidly.

Relief to farmers at both energy and technical levels

The Chief Minister said that the goal of ‘water to every farm’ has been taken forward through canals, pipelines and micro irrigation projects. As a result, Uttar Pradesh alone has 86 percent of the total irrigated land of the country and UP has become the state with the highest irrigated land in the country.

Under PM Kusum Yojana, solar panels have been provided to 94 thousand farmers. Farmers are being given free electricity and the government is bearing the electricity bills of tube wells of 16 lakh farmers. Improved seeds, natural farming, drones and climate-friendly technologies are continuously increasing the agricultural growth rate.

Rural income increased due to cattle protection, milk and fish production

The Chief Minister said that the government has also taken concrete steps in the field of cow protection and milk production. Cow conservation sites have been created for more than 16 lakh cows in the state. Farmers rearing cows at home are being paid ₹ 1500 per cow after verification. This has had a positive impact on milk production and Uttar Pradesh has become one of the leading states.

Smart farming, expansion of millets (Sri Anna) and fish production has improved both rural incomes and nutrition. The Chief Minister said that all these efforts are giving a new direction to the prosperity of the farmers and the agricultural economy of the state.
