Maharashtra elections: Congress will release manifesto today, Rahul Gandhi and Kharge will give guarantees

Congress will release its manifesto for Maharashtra Assembly elections today. During this, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, NCP-SP chief Sharad Pawar and Shiv Sena-UBT President Uddhav Thackeray will be present. At the same time, a movement to save the Constitution will be organized in Nagpur. Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge will join this movement at 1 pm. Then at 6 pm a big meeting of Mumbai Mahavikas Aghadi will be held in BKC.

Congress will hold a rally at Bandra-Kurla Complex, where Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi will issue the party’s election guarantee. It is being said that Congress can provide cash up to Rs 3,000 per month for women, six cylinders at subsidized rate to every family, unemployment allowance of Rs 4,000 and loan waiver of Rs 3 lakh for farmers. The party has decided to include these five guarantees. Besides, cashless health insurance of Rs 25 lakh for every family is also one of the five primary guarantees. The scheme was launched in Rajasthan under the Ashok Gehlot government, after which many state units of the party included it in their election manifestos.

Who prepared the Congress manifesto?

The Congress manifesto has been prepared by the team led by strategist Sunil Kanugolu. However, some leaders of Maharashtra Congress had raised questions regarding Sunil’s views. At the same time, Mahayuti alliance has promised ten guarantees for the citizens of Maharashtra.

  • Increasing the monthly assistance amount for women from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,100, as well as a plan to recruit 25,000 women in the police force to increase security.
  • Extension of agricultural loan waiver and Shetkari Samman Yojana. Increasing annual financial assistance to farmers from Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000 and adding 20% ​​subsidy on MSP.
  • Ensuring access to food and shelter for every person in need.
  • Increasing monthly pension for senior citizens from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,100
  • Maintaining stable prices for essential commodities across the state
  • To create 25 lakh jobs with monthly stipend of Rs 10,000 for 10 lakh students through special training programmes.
  • To develop Pandan roads in 45,000 villages to improve connectivity in rural areas across the state.
  • Increasing the monthly salary of Anganwadi and Asha workers to Rs 15,000 and providing security coverage
  • Reducing electricity bills by 30% by investing in solar power and other renewable energy sources.
  • Commitment to bring about major changes within 100 days of assuming charge to achieve a transformative vision for Maharashtra by 2029.
