Dausa Bus Accident: A horrific bus accident took place on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Dausa, Rajasthan at around 3 pm on Tuesday night. In which 8 people were burnt alive to death. Many are injured there. The bus was going from Haridwar to Indore.
Rajasthan Bus Accident: Many people lost their lives when a bus collided and caught fire on the Jaipur-Bandikui stretch of Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Dausa district of Rajasthan on Wednesday. Expressing deep grief over this incident, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has expressed condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
- CM Sharma said in a post on X, “The news of loss of lives in a road accident on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Dausa is heart-wrenching. May God rest the departed souls in His holy feet and give strength to the bereaved families to bear this loss. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.”
- Deputy CM Prem Chand Bairwa also condoled the deaths and prayed for the injured. He said, “The news of death of people in the road accident on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Dausa is very sad. In this hour of grief, my deepest condolences are with the bereaved families. I pray to Lord Shri Ram to give place to the departed souls at His feet and to heal the injured soon.”
The bus was going from Haridwar to Indore
The accident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday when a private bus going from Haridwar to Indore collided with a trailer and fell into a roadside ditch on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan’s Dausa district. Officials said at least eight passengers died and several others were injured in the accident. A total of 25 people have been rescued.
8 passengers were burnt alive and turned into skeletons
District Magistrate Soumya Jha said that the bus was going from Rishikesh to Indore when it collided with another vehicle between 3:15-3:30 am. District officials said around 25 people managed to escape the fire and were rescued. Congress MP Murari Lal Meena, representing Dausa (ST) parliamentary constituency, said eight bodies have been recovered so far. “A tragic incident has taken place; a bus caught fire after an accident. So far, eight completely burnt bodies have been recovered, and 11 people have been admitted here,” he told ANI.
Was the scene of the accident horrifying?
- Dausa District Collector and District Magistrate Soumya Jha said that after controlling the fire, when we conducted a rescue operation, we found some burnt remains. They have been sent to the hospital and the rescue operation is still going on.”
- He further said that the exact number of deaths is not yet clear. “Regarding total casualties, we can only give an approximate figure at this stage; the final count has not been confirmed yet. There have been around seven to eight deaths,” he said.
