Why did Google issue the warning?
Google has issued an alert named ‘Dangerous December’ regarding this danger. According to the company, two serious flaws have been found in the Android operating system, which hackers can take advantage of. Google has identified these flaws with the names CVE-2025-48633 and CVE-2025-48572. Google has clearly said that if these are not taken care of, then the users’ data can be stolen and the phone can be completely controlled.
Dangerous app can enter the phone
Through the problem of CVE-2025-48633, hackers can install a virus app on the phone, access your photos, videos and files, steal personal information, that is, the phone can go under someone else’s control without your knowledge. The second flaw CVE-2025-48572 has been described by Google as even more dangerous. With the help of this bug, a local attacker can bypass the security of the phone. The virus can gain more access through the app and the security features of Android itself can be broken. In simple words, this bug weakens the security of the phone from within.

Google has said that the fix has been released for Android 13, 14, 15 and 16, but phones with Android 12 or older versions are still at risk.
