Wall under construction collapses in Bharuch, 2 killed
Bharuch (Gujarat) [भारत]July 1 (ANI): Heavy rains in Gujarat’s Bharuch on Wednesday caused a wall of the under-construction World Trade Center site to collapse on a nearby house, killing two people. The incident took place at a construction site in Ali Mataria Talab area of Bharuch.
According to a local resident, the wall collapsed on his uncle’s house after overnight rain. There were four people inside the house at the time of the incident. While two people managed to get out, the remaining two were trapped under the debris.
Eyewitness told the entire incident
He told ANI, “Due to the rain last night, a wall collapsed on my uncle’s house. There were four people inside; two managed to get out, but the other two got trapped. We called the fire brigade, and they came and rescued both the trapped people. Then we took them to the civil hospital, where doctors declared them dead. The incident happened due to the wall collapsing after the rain.”
