Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana is among the most awaited films right now, and the excitement around it is only growing. During screenings of Avatar: Fire and Ash, audiences across theatres began chanting “Jai Shree Ram” as the 3D promo of Namit Malhotra’s Ramayana played, turning cinema halls into loud, stadium-like spaces.
The fans reactions were acknowledged by producer Namit Malhotra, who took to his social media and wrote, “Electrifying! This kind of energy truly fuels everything that lies ahead for us. Here’s to bringing an epic to life.”
A reel showcasing fans chanting Jai Shree Ram and giving standing ovation, while the Ramayana’s 3D promo played in theatres has gone viral. The reel has crossed 3.6 million views and garnered over 128K likes.
Meanwhile, as reported by Pinkvilla, Ramayana makers will now begin work on the film’s VFX and are planning to focus on it for the next 300 days. “While the shooting for Ramayana: Part One was wrapped up way back in June 2025, director Nitesh Tiwari has locked the edit for the first instalment. They have frozen the run time, and locked the line-up for the saga. The first round of VFX is also done, and the team has now taken the final edit for prolonged round of post-production,” a source cited by the entertainment portal claimed.
Who Is Playing What In Ramayana?
While Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Ram, Sai Pallavi will be seen essaying the role of Sita. KGF star Yash will now be seen as Ravana in this movie. Sunny Deol, Ravie Dubey will play the roles of Hanuman and Laxma,n respectively. On the other hand, Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as Mandodri and Surpanakha. Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha and Indira Krishnan are also a part of this project.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Prime Focus Studios and co-produced by Yash’s Monster Mind Creations and 8-time Oscar winning VFX studio DNEG, the film stars, Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol and Ravi Dubey, with music by Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman.
