Amit Shah Releases BJP Manifesto For Jharkhand Assembly Polls: Here Are The Key Highlights

Union Home Minister Amit Shah released the BJP’s manifesto in poll-bound Jharkhand on Sunday (3 November).

In the BJP’s “sankalp patra” for the Jharkhand elections, the party outlined 25 resolutions to mark 25 years of the state’s formation.

 

Here are the key highlights of the BJP manifesto for Jharkhand polls:

  • ‘Gogo Didi’ Scheme: Rs 2,100 will be deposited monthly into the bank accounts of every woman in Jharkhand.
  • LPG Affordability: LPG cylinders will be provided to every family for Rs 500 each, along with two free cylinders annually.
  • Youth Employment: Five lakh self-employment opportunities will be created within five years for the youth of Jharkhand.
  • Government Jobs: Fair and transparent recruitment for 2,87,500 government positions will be ensured by November 2025, with the recruitment process to be started in the first cabinet meeting.
  • Examination Calendar: An annual calendar for all government examinations will be released.
  • ‘Yuva Sathi’ Allowance: A monthly allowance of Rs 2,000 for self-employment opportunities will be provided to 1 lakh Jharkhandi youth for two years.
  • Housing Assurance: Misgovernance of JMM government will be ended, and housing for everyone will be ensured; free sand for house construction will be provided.
  • PM Awas Yojana: 21 lakh houses will be provided to the beneficiary families.
  • Jal Jivan Mission: Tap water connections will be ensured to the remaining 59 lakh homes by 2027.
  • Action against paper leaks: The party has also assured the students that action will be taken against those responsible for paper leaks which has gripped the state in the recent past.
  • Illegal Immigration Crackdown: Strict legal measures will be implemented to halt illegal Bangladeshi infiltration and protect tribal rights. The party has also vowed to return the tribals’ land occupied by the infiltrators to the tribal population.
  • Women’s Empowerment: A one-rupee stamp duty fee scheme for registration of immovable properties valued up to Rs 50 lakh will be re-implemented.
  • Free Education: Free education will be provided for B.Ed., nursing, and other vocational courses in government institutions, and tuition fees in private institutions will be covered.
  • UCC Implementation: BJP assured that the tribals will be kept out of the purview of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
  • Tribal Culture Promotion: Grants for every tribal religious site will be provided, and tribal languages, history, art, and culture will be promoted with a fund of Rs 500 crore.
  • Education Scheme for Girls: Free education up to postgraduate level will be provided to each girl from economically backward classes under the ‘Phulo-Jhano Padho Bitiya Scheme’.
  • Maternity Protection Scheme: Six nutrition kits and Rs 21,000 in aid will be provided to every pregnant woman.
  • Medical and Nursing Colleges: Ten new government medical colleges and a nursing college in each district will be established.
  • Ayushman Bharat Jivan Dhara Scheme: Up to Rs 10 lakh in free healthcare will be offered to all individuals over the age of 70, with an additional Rs 5 lakh support from the state over the existing Rs 5 lakh from Ayushman Bharat.
  • Bhagwati Circuit: Major goddess temples will be promoted to position Jharkhand among the top five tourist-friendly states.
  • Eco-Tourism: Jharkhand will be developed into the eco-tourism capital.
  • Rural Livelihood: Arhar and madua will be included under the Minimum Support Price, and processing and storage centres will be established in every tribal block.

Elections for 81 seats in the Jharkhand Assembly will be conducted in two phases on 13 November and 20 November, with the counting of votes scheduled for 23 November.
