Congress State President Ajay Rai has given his reaction in the case of objectionable video of Congress Party District President Yunus Chaudhary in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. He said that the party high command has taken cognizance of this matter and the District President has been removed from his post. They have been given 24 hours to respond to the allegations against them, otherwise disciplinary action will be taken against them. Ajay Rai further said that the Congress party will never tolerate such acts and action will definitely be taken against the allegations that have come to light.
On Friday, an objectionable video of a Congress leader went viral. In which he was seen in an objectionable position with a girl. After the video surfaced, there was an uproar in the Congress.
Congress leader gave clarification
After the video went viral, Congress leader Yunus Chaudhary gave his clarification. He said that he is not in this video and this video has been edited and released with the aim of defaming him. He alleged that he has many opponents in the district who want to harm him. He has demanded the police to identify the person who made this video viral. In this matter, other Congress leaders have also reacted and demanded an investigation, so that appropriate action can be taken.
Party high command issued letter
Assembly by-elections are near in UP and in such a situation, the atmosphere in the politics of the state has heated up due to the emergence of this controversial video of the Congress Party. However, taking immediate cognizance of this matter, the high command has removed Yunus Chaudhary from his post. The Congress Committee issued a letter against Yunus Chaudhary, in which it has been said that the allegations against him while being the District President have tarnished the image of the party, hence he is relieved from the post of President of District Congress Committee Baghpat with immediate effect.
