Watch | Cardi B struggles to deliver speech after a glitch in teleprompter at Harris’ rally

Rapper Cardi B has stepped out to support Vice President Kamala Harris on Friday (Nov 1). However, the “WAP” rapper faced a little awkward moment in front of the jam-packed crowd.

Four days before the election day, the female rapper made a stylish appearance on the stage in the Milwaukee area in Wisconsin. However, as the rapper was set to deliver her speech in favour of Democratic candidate Harris, the crooner paused a little due to some glitch in the teleprompter.

As per Daily Mail, the Grammy-winner singer stopped for a while as the crowd cheered.

“One second guys. One second!” Cardi said as the crowd cheered more. She tried to speak again but paused after the teleprompter screen went blank.

“OK. So I don’t take lightly the call,” she said, “I’m sorry guys, I’m a little nervous. I’m a little nervous guys, I’ve been waiting for this moment this whole life, my whole life.”

“I need patience over here, patience where are you girl?” Cardi shouted. “I need patience over here!”

After a minute, a phone was provided to her on the stage. The phone had some key points of her speech that helped her speak.

“Now I took my time writing my speech, so I wanted to make sure I delivered it right,” she said as she began her speech.

A user shared a video of Cardi from last night and wrote, “LMAO Cardi B’s teleprompter was broken and she had no idea what to do for over a minute until someone ran on the stage to give her a phone to read off. Holy embarrassing.”

During her appearance at Harris’ rally in Wisconsin, Cardi said that she planned not to vote this year, but changed her mind after the VP was announced as a Democratic nominee.

“I did not have faith for any candidate until she joined the race and said the things that I wanted to hear – things I want to see next in this country. I believe in every word that comes out of her mouth; she’s passionate, she’s compassionate, she shows empathy, and most of all, she is not delusional,” she said.

Referring to Donald Trump as a “bully”, she added, “He said he’s gonna protect women whether they like it or not.”

She added, “If his definition of protection is not the freedom of choice… then I don’t want it. I’m not giving Donald Trump a second chance.”
