Defending champion Royal Challengers Bangalore has once again made it to the finals, proving every expectation and claim right. In the first qualifier of IPL 2026, Bengaluru defeated Gujarat Titans by 92 runs and registered their name in the second consecutive final. In this match, Bangalore captain Rajat Patidar played a explosive inning of 93 runs while former captain Virat Kohli also scored a quick 43 runs. But Virat Kohli gained more attention for one of his actions, in which he was seen jokingly teasing the players of Gujarat Titans. Its video is viral on social media.
Kohli teased with gestures
The first qualifier of IPL 2026 was played on 26 May in Dharamshala. Bengaluru came to bat first in this match. But before the start of Bengaluru’s batting, the squad photoshoot of Gujarat Titans players was going on at Dharamshala Stadium. At the time when all this was happening Virat Kohli Was waiting near the boundary, ready to bat. Meanwhile, he was making some gestures while looking at the Gujarat players and then laughing.
Now for whom he was doing this, it is not clear but Kohli has some special friends in the Gujarat squad, among whom are fast bowler Ishant Sharma, coach Ashish Nehra and captain Shubhman Gill, with whom he keeps joking. Well, this is not the first video which has gone viral in recent times and has become a reason for discussion. Just before the playoffs, after the last match of Bengaluru, Virat Kohli’s refusal to shake hands with Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman Travis Head was in the news. As soon as his video came on social media, the star batsman of RCB had to face a lot of criticism and his behavior was heavily criticized. However, there was nothing against Gujarat in the video, hence there was no controversy of any kind.
