Why were the devotees not invited to the wedding?
On the question of not inviting devotees and disciples to the wedding, Indresh Upadhyay very politely clarified his position. He told that during the marriage his status was like that of a puppet. He said, it was not in my power to invite you to the wedding. I was doing as the elders in the family were saying, get up, sit, eat.
Lal ji’s invitation
Indresh Upadhyay said that where he has authority, he is calling everyone. He invited the devotees with open heart for the festival of Thakur ji to be held in Barsana. Indresh Upadhyay told that now his entire focus is on Thakur ji’s wedding celebration to be held in Vrindavan from 11 to 15 January 2026. He appealed to the devotees to come there in large numbers and help in the arrangements. He said jokingly, Now I am just nervous about Lal ji’s marriage and worried that everything should be completed properly.
