Sify Technologies has invested ₹12,000 crore under the leadership of CM Yogi towards making Uttar Pradesh a global center of AI and digital technology. Digital UP is getting new strength with the partnership of AI Cities, Data Center and HCLTech in Lucknow-Noida.
Lucknow. The state government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is continuously taking concrete steps to make Uttar Pradesh a leading state on the global map of digital technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI). In this sequence, Chairman and Managing Director of Sify Technologies Raju Vegesana met Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at his official residence on Tuesday. During this, detailed discussions were held regarding AI based digital transformation in the state and development of proposed AI cities in Lucknow and Noida.
AI will bring big changes in governance, industry and health sector: CM Yogi
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that in the coming times, Artificial Intelligence is going to bring revolutionary changes in areas like governance, industry, health, education and manufacturing. He said that the Uttar Pradesh government is promoting AI based investments, startups and innovation by developing strong digital infrastructure.
Sify plans to double investment in three years
Sify Technologies Chairman Raju Vegesana told the Chief Minister that Sify has invested more than ₹12,000 crore in Uttar Pradesh in the last five years. This investment has been made for setting up state-of-the-art data centers in Lucknow and Noida.
He also informed that there is a plan to double this investment in the next three years. Sify’s AI edge data center in Lucknow will soon be fully operational, while it also has plans to develop a large hyperscale AI campus.
North India’s largest AI data center campus in Noida
Raju Vegesana said that Sify is operating North India’s largest AI data center campus ‘Noida-02’ in Noida. Along with this, an additional AI campus will be developed. Additionally, Sify’s first green hyperscale data center ‘NOIDA-01’ is currently serving over 100 enterprise, government and hyperscale customers.
Lucknow and Noida AI clusters will be connected to high-speed fiber network
It was also informed in the meeting that both the AI clusters of Lucknow and Noida will be connected through Sify’s national fiber network. This will enable high-speed and low-latency AI workloads to operate smoothly and help establish Uttar Pradesh as a strong digital hub.
Tech giants like Google, Meta and Oracle partner with Sify
Raju Vegesana told the Chief Minister that global tech companies like Google, Meta and Oracle are strategic partners in Sify’s data center business. This will give new strength to Uttar Pradesh’s international technical identity and investment attraction.
Government is already working with HCLTech in the field of AI
The Uttar Pradesh government is already working with HCLTech in the field of AI. HCLSoftware’s AI based solution has reduced manual work in public hearing (IGRS) system by 60–70 percent. The time for disposal of complaints has reduced to about 2 minutes, which is an effective example of good governance.
Uttar Pradesh becomes major center of global tech companies
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar Pradesh is fast becoming a major hub for global technology companies. The role of HCLTech with $14 billion revenue is important in this. With world-class campuses in Noida and Lucknow and global headquarters in Noida, HCLTech is among Uttar Pradesh’s largest investors and leading private sector employers.
HCLTech is providing employment to more than 50 thousand employees in UP.
HCLTech has more than 50,000 employees in Uttar Pradesh, of which about 75 percent is local youth. The Lucknow campus, which will complete its 10 years in the year 2026, is currently serving over 130 global clients. After the proposed expansion, the employment potential here is likely to be more than 18,000.
More than 42 lakh people benefited from CSR initiatives
More than 42 lakh people in Uttar Pradesh have so far benefited from HCLFoundation’s CSR initiatives. These include programs like ‘Samuday’ and ‘My Clean City’, which are proposed to be expanded to other districts in the coming time.
