Haseen Mastan Mirza, daughter of underworld don Haji Mastan, has appealed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for justice in the case of sexual harassment, forced marriage and illegal occupation of her property.
Hasin alleged that her maternal uncle’s son Naseer Hussain tried to sexually assault her in 1996 when she was just 12 years old and later forcibly married her. Haseen Mastan made it clear that whatever she has endured has nothing to do with her father Haji Mastan’s identity while he was alive and it all started only after his death. Haseen Mastan Mirza said that she was a minor at the time of these crimes. Hasin claimed that she was raped, subjected to continuous mental and physical abuse and deprived of her property while concealing her identity.
Haseen Mirza told her ordeal
Haseen Mirza said that I have requested our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah that the laws should be made so strict that these criminals, who are openly committing crimes, feel scared. This was my main demand. Haseen Mirza said that I was raped, an attempt was made to kill me, my unborn child was killed, I was forcibly married and then after all this I was left to die on the streets; I had no money, nothing.
She said that she has been fighting this case since 2013 but could not pursue it continuously due to financial constraints. Hasin also alleged that she did not get any help from the police during this period. He said that the police never helped. If he had helped me, my mother would have been with me, I would have got justice. He further said that Prime Minister Modi’s intervention can ensure that the matter is not ignored. He said that if PM Modi helps in this matter then no one will be able to ignore this matter.
Recalling a painful incident from her teenage years, Hasin said that when I had an abortion at the age of 14, my aunt called the police and tried to send me to a juvenile home. The police came to our house and found out that I was only 14 years old, but still they did not help me. He further told that due to being troubled for a long time, he had tried to commit suicide after the divorce in 2010.
Hasin said that the crimes against her were committed because of greed and her father’s wealth. If I had not been born the daughter of Haji Mastan, I would not have had to face these challenges. The criminals saw the money. My father died and they thought they could take all our money. Money is the reason behind all this, behind rape and forced marriage. My ex-husband also told me that he raped me because I am the daughter of Haji Mastan.
Haseen Mirza emphasized that she does not want her father’s name to be tarnished. However, my father had earned many blessings during his lifetime; He had helped many people. I don’t want his name to be tarnished. He was a very good person, I am proud to be his daughter and I am fighting this case only because of him.
Mirza rejected speculations about entering politics
Rejecting speculations about entering politics, he said that he has no such ambition. I know many people in politics but I don’t want to get into it. I don’t understand politics. I just want that the politicians, whoever is in power like BJP right now, should do their work honestly. Hasin said that she supports the bulldozer action of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said that she had also tweeted about this. I want him to come to Mumbai and do bulldozer action on my bungalow where the criminals are sitting. Whatever happened to me, my ex-husband raped me. CM Yogi arranges encounters with such people. The victims get justice under his rule.
Hasin also told that she was invited to participate in the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’ but she rejected the offer due to concerns about her mental health. His appeal comes after a video he shared on Instagram last week in which he talked about his long fight for justice and once again appealed to Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah to intervene, claiming that he has not got justice for years. In the video, he praised the Prime Minister’s decision to ban triple talaq but appealed for stricter laws to ensure speedy justice in cases like his, alleging that the religious law in Islam is being misused. He said the way the Triple Talaq Bill was passed shows the support and blessings of women who, according to him, felt relieved after the abolition of this unjust practice.
