According to the Meteorological Department, on Wednesday, December 24, an orange alert has been issued regarding excessive fog in Aligarh, Muzaffar Nagar, Barabanki, Kanpur Dehat, Agra, Lucknow, Firozabad, Etawah, Auraiya, Bareilly, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Ayodhya, Kaushambi, Kushinagar, Siddharth Nagar, Maharajganj, Balrampur, Shravasti and Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh. Drivers passing through these districts have been instructed to drive very carefully. In most of the districts of UP, the temperature may go below 10 degrees from December 25.

On Wednesday, December 24, the maximum temperature in Lucknow may be 21 degrees Celsius, while the minimum may be around 9 degrees. On December 23, the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded above 300 in areas like Aliganj, Talkatora and Lalbagh of Lucknow, which falls in the category of hazardous.
