25 lakh lamps, 1100 archakas performed Maha Aarti of Saryu Maharani… This time not one but two world records were made in Ayodhya Deepotsav.

Not only has a Guinness Book of World Record of 25 lakh lamps been made on the occasion of Deepotsav in Ayodhya, another record has been made here. This record has been made regarding the Maha Aarti of Lord Shri Ram. In this, 1100 sages, saints and Vedacharyas together performed Maha Aarti of Saryu Maharani. Preparations were going on in Ayodhya several months ago to include these two programs in the world records. It was rehearsed several times and finally it was executed on Wednesday. As part of these preparations, not only the Ram temple was decorated in a grand and divine manner, but the archways were decorated with flower garlands and banana leaves at various places in Ayodhya.

According to Shashikant Das, coordinator of Saryu Aarti in Ayodhya, such a grand event has been organized for the first time after Lord Shri Ram was installed in his palace. After lighting 25 lakh lamps simultaneously this evening, it has been recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. However, this is the eighth Deepotsav so far, in which the entire Ayodhya city has been decorated to welcome Lord Ram. He said that not only lamps have been lit on the banks of Saryu, lakhs of lamps have also been lit in more than 200 temples and monasteries here.

1100 saints performed Maha Aarti

According to Shashikant Das, till now 5100 light aarti has been performed here. This time also the Aarti was performed with only 5100 lights, but for the first time 1100 Archakas took part in the Maha Aarti of Saryu Maharani. This is a huge record in itself and efforts are being made to register it in the world record. He claimed that never before today had such a large number of saints and sages collectively participated in Saryu Aarti. He told that apart from these saints, many dignitaries of the city and country including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also participated in this program.

The program started at nine o’clock

According to Ayodhya administration, Deepotsav 2024 started in Ayodhya from 9 am. First of all, a grand procession was taken out from Saket College. While performing his leela, Lord Shri Ram reached the park at 2.40 pm. Where after the aarti of the Lord, his coronation was done. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself was present in this program along with his entire cabinet. After the completion of the program till 5 in the evening, Maha Aarti of Saryu was organised.
