Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale is an upcoming documentary featuring the Jawan actress and her husband Vignesh Shivan. After much anticipation, the film is all set to make its digital debut on Netflix.
The streaming giant recently took to their social media handle to announce the official release date, which is November 18.
Sharing the poster, they wrote, “Thirai-layum natchathiram, vaazhkailayum natchathiram. Watch Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale on 18 November, only on Netflix!”

Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale is directed by Amith Krishnan. He is known for his work in Life of Pi, Dreaming to Fly and Coke Studio Tamil. As per Netflix, the runtime of this documentary is 1 hour and 21 minutes.
Going by the teaser on the streaming giant’s platform, actors Rana Daggubati and will also feature in Nayanthara’s documentary. They will look back at her journey in the Indian film industry and share how she became a superstar.
Rana Daggubati said, in the clip dropped by Netflix, “We always understood she had a personal journey which made her like a warrior. She knew she was a thug when she walked in.”
He added, “It’s not a girl who’s just trying to figure out the world or anything like that. She walked in as a thug and she stayed a thug.”
Director Krish Jagarlamudi will also appear in the documentary to shed light on stardom. Calling her a method actor, he said, “She has the nuances of the classical acting.”
Nagarjuna, who has worked with Nayanthara in movies like Boss, also spoke highly about her. He said, “When Nayan walked into the set, of course she is very beautiful. Leaving that aside, there was this aura of royalty walking in. I felt that. I saw it in reality.”
Moreover, Nayanthara: Beyond The Fairy Tale is releasing on the actor’s birthday, which makes it even more special.
