The matter is of Salarpur Kalan village of Nakhasa police station area. Sohail had reached the swimming pool with one of his acquaintances at around 1 pm on Monday afternoon. When the family members saw the CCTV footage, they were shocked. They allege that the accused deliberately kept Sohail immersed in water, while many people were present nearby. It is clearly visible in the footage that Sohail is repeatedly trying to free himself and come up to breathe, but the accused kept pushing him underwater.

When the accused left him, Sohail came up for some time and tried to swim towards the shore, but then he fell into the pool itself. Within a few moments his body went down into the water and no one even noticed. This horrifying incident came to light when the foot of another person bathing in the pool accidentally touched Sohail’s body.

Sohail’s family has clearly refused to consider it an accident. He says that Sohail knew how to swim. After watching the CCTV footage, the family alleges that he was murdered intentionally. The accused, who had come to the pool on a bicycle with Sohail, is currently absconding. Police say that teams have been formed to identify and arrest the accused and investigation into the case is ongoing.
