Mysterious Hindu Temple: There are many temples in the country which have mysterious stories. One of them is Jharni Narasimha Temple. It is situated in Bidar district of Karnataka. A large number of devotees come here for darshan. It has been reported that this Temple Lord Narasimha is present as the fourth incarnation of Vishnu, who is in the form of half man and half lion. The temple opens for devotees at 8 in the morning and darshan takes place till 6 in the evening.

Bidar city is one kilometer away from this temple. It is built in a 300 meter long cave, in which devotees pass through natural spring water for darshan, which makes it a wonderful and sacred place. The temple is situated at the foot of Manichula hill, which is why the flow of water from here never stops.

Story of the mysterious world of Narasimha temple

According to the scriptures, Lord Narasimha had killed the demon named Hiranyakashipu, who had tried to kill his son, devotee Prahlad and had also troubled the gods. Lord Narasimha had followed the conditions of Brahma’s boon. The demon had the boon that he should not be killed neither by day, nor by night, nor inside the house, nor outside, nor by weapons, nor by humans, nor by animals. God had killed him with his nails by making him lie on his thighs.

According to the legend, after killing Hiranyakashipu, Lord Narasimha killed another demon named Jharasura (Jalasura). This demon was a great devotee of Lord Shiva. When he was lying on his death bed and breathing his last, he requested Lord Narasimha to stay in the same cave where he was residing and provide blessings to the devotees. Lord Narasimha fulfilled the last wish of the demon and started residing in his cave. Jharasur turned into water and became a waterfall, which is flowing till today.

Modern facilities in the temple for devotees

It is believed that the idol of Lord Narasimha himself has appeared in this temple, which is very powerful. Here, arrangements from lighting to AC have been made so that the devotees do not face any problem inside the cave. Besides, bathing and other facilities are also available for the devotees.
