U19 Asia Cup 2025 IND vs PAK: The final of the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 played in Dubai will be remembered not only for Pakistan’s spectacular victory but also because of the tension and controversies between the two teams. Actually, Pakistan won this title after 13 years by defeating India by a huge margin of 191 runs. However, the players’ behavior during and after the match made headlines. A very hot atmosphere was seen on the field, on which now Pakistan Cricket Board is going to take big action.
PCB will take big steps against Indian players
During this match, heated exchanges were seen between the two teams on many occasions on the field. Players of both the teams did not shake hands before and after the match, which has now become a common practice in India-Pakistan matches. At the same time, now Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has accused Indian young players of continuously provoking Pakistani players. Speaking at a reception hosted by Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Naqvi said that he was considering formally informing the ICC about the matter. He stressed that sports and politics should be kept separate.
Pakistan team mentor and former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed also expressed disappointment over the attitude of the Indian players. He called it unfair and against the spirit of the game. Sarfaraz said that cricket should always be played with respect and sportsmanship. If Pakistan makes a formal complaint, the ICC will consider action only on the match referee’s report.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi-Ayush Mahatre clash with PAK players
During the final match, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ayush Mahatre also had an argument with Pakistani players. Ayush Mhatre was dismissed by Pakistani fast bowler Ali Raza and celebrated very aggressively. Ayush did not like this send-off at all and he too got angry. There was a heated argument between the two. After this, Pakistan’s wicket celebration was seen in an aggressive manner on the wicket of Vaibhav Suryavanshi, after which Vaibhav Suryavanshi was also seen arguing.
