There is intense political activity in the state regarding the Maharashtra Assembly elections. The propaganda of political parties continues. The nomination process is also going on in the final stages in the state. All the parties are claiming their respective victories. There are some seats in the state on which everyone is keeping an eye. One of these seats is Bandra East, from where Ajit Pawar’s NCP’s Zeeshan Siddiqui and Baba Siddiqui’s son are contesting. Zeeshan filed his nomination today. Senior party leader Chhagan Bhujbal was also present on this occasion.
Talking to the media, Chhagan Bhujbal said, Zeeshan Siddiqui has won elections earlier also. His father Baba Siddiqui has recently been the victim of murder. He was the leader of our party. Zeeshan Siddiqui has joined our party and the party has once again made him a candidate from here. I have come to support his nomination on behalf of the party.
No matter who fights, Zeeshan will win
When Bhujbal was asked that Uddhav Thackeray’s party has given ticket to Varun Sardesai from here and it is expected that he will face a tough fight, Bhujbal said, anyone can contest elections in a democracy. But his father has also been MLA from here many times and after seeing the atmosphere here for the last 15-20 years, I am hopeful that Zeeshan will win from here.
Zeeshan had won from this seat in the last assembly elections. Then he contested elections on the symbol of Congress Party and became the youngest MLA.

Zeeshan’s father Baba Siddiqui had also been an MLA from Congress several times and was counted among the major minority leaders of Mumbai. But he left Congress and joined Ajit Pawar’s NCP. Recently he was murdered, the responsibility for which was taken by Lawrence Bishnoi gang. After his murder, Zeeshan Siddiqui joined Ajit Pawar’s party and the party has made him its candidate from East Bandra.
