Insult of women cannot be tolerated – SP’s show of strength on the streets on Nitish’s statement | Sp Women Protest Nitish Kumar Sanjay Nishad Controversy Up

Samajwadi Party women demonstrated in Uttar Pradesh against the statements of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and UP Minister Sanjay Nishad. On the issue of women’s respect, SP Mahila Sabha demanded action and resignation from the Prime Minister.

Varanasi. The controversy regarding women’s respect related to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has now intensified in the politics of Uttar Pradesh also. Samajwadi Party’s women’s wing has lodged a major protest regarding the issue of removing a woman’s niqab from a public platform, linking it with the respect of women. By protesting at district headquarters across the state, SP women have demanded strict action against Nitish Kumar and UP government minister Sanjay Nishad. During this time, demands were also raised from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to seek resignation of both the leaders.

SP’s statewide demonstration on the issue of women’s respect

In Uttar Pradesh, protests were held at the district headquarters on the call of Samajwadi Mahila Sabha. This demonstration took place in Varanasi under the leadership of state president of Mahila Sabha, Ribu Srivastava. The protesters alleged that the treatment meted out to a woman on a public platform was condemnable and against the dignity of women.

Apology to Nitish, demand for action against Sanjay Nishad

Ribu Srivastava said that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar should publicly apologize for his actions. At the same time, UP government minister Sanjay Nishad was accused of “adding fuel to the fire” by giving a statement in this entire matter. He demanded from Prime Minister Narendra Modi that strict action should be taken against such leaders and their resignation should be taken.

Strict stance on statements regarding women

SP women leaders said that such comments and behavior towards women are completely indecent. He alleged that some leaders in power repeatedly make statements hurting the dignity of women, which sends a wrong message to the society. Mahila Sabha also said that the party’s agitation will continue until concrete action is taken on issues related to the dignity and safety of women.

During the demonstration, SP women workers made it clear that this is not just a matter of one person, but a question of women’s respect. The party warned that if action is not taken against those responsible in this matter, the Samajwadi Party will raise it from the state to the national level.
