Mahindra may launch Vision S SUV and Vision SXT pickup in 2027. These will be based on the new NU_IQ platform, which supports petrol, diesel, hybrid and EV. These will have modern features and boxy design.
Mahindra 2027 Launch: MHindra & Mahindra is preparing to add two new models to its SUV lineup. According to reports, the company may launch Vision S SUV and Vision SXT pickup truck in 2027. Both these vehicles will be built on the company’s new NU_IQ modular platform. This platform was introduced with four concept vehicles – Vision S, Vision X, Vision T and Vision SXT.
Of these, the Vision S concept hints at a compact SUV, which could be less than four meters in length. It is believed that this model may be part of the Scorpio N series. It can be presented to the world by the end of 2026 and can be launched in the market in the beginning of 2027. At the same time, Mahindra has also recently registered the design patent of Vision SXT pickup truck. It is expected that its production model will also arrive in 2027 only.
The biggest feature of the new NU_IQ modular monocoque platform is that it supports a variety of powertrain options. Along with internal combustion engines like petrol and diesel, hybrid and fully electric vehicles can also be made on it. Apart from this, it is also suitable for all-wheel drive (AWD) system. This platform is also excellent in terms of technology. Reports suggest that these vehicles will get many modern systems like variable ratio steering rack, five-link rear suspension with active dampers and the new NU_UX user interface.
Talking about design, it is expected that most of the features of Vision S Concept will be seen in the production model also. Boxy design, round LED headlamps, high roofline and flush door handles will be its main attractions. However, some elements shown in the concept like the roof lights, limb riser on the bonnet, side step ladder and the jerry can on the outside may be removed from the production model.
At the same time, according to the leaked pictures, the lower and mid-variants of the Vision S can get an analog instrument cluster, a smaller MID display, manual AC controls, a newly designed steering wheel and split-folding rear seats. The look of the Vision SXT pickup truck is expected to be even more powerful. It may have a strong front grille, skid plate, split headlamps with Y-shaped DRLs and a tubular front bar. On the inside, it is reported to get modern features like a large portrait touchscreen infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof and connected car technology. However, Mahindra has not yet officially confirmed all this information.
