The YIDA delegation studied the Neemrana Japanese Industrial Park in Rajasthan for the proposed Japanese Industrial City in Uttar Pradesh. There is a plan to develop a world class industrial cluster by implementing RIICO’s experiences in the Yida region.

Neemrana. In order to give shape to the proposed Japanese Industrial City in Uttar Pradesh, a high level delegation of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YIDA) on Monday conducted a study visit to the Japanese Industrial Park located in Neemrana, Rajasthan. This park is developed by Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RICO).

Preparation to learn from Neemrana model and implement it in UP

The purpose of this visit is to understand the experiences of the Neemrana model, considered the most successful Japanese industrial cluster in the country, and implement them in the Yida region. YIDA aims to create a world-class industrial environment for Japanese investors in Uttar Pradesh.

RIICO officials gave presentation on development journey and planning

During the meeting, RIICO officials made a detailed presentation on the entire process, planning and operational structure of the development of Neemrana Japanese Industrial Park. It described how land allocation, zoning, infrastructure and utility services were developed according to the needs of Japanese investors.

Discussion on favorable policies and facilities for investors

RIICO officials also shared information about special incentive policies, administrative facilities and friendly ecosystem created for investors. During the discussion, there was a deep discussion on topics like logistics needs of Japanese companies, availability of electricity and water, supply chain and stable policy environment.

Model will be included in the master plan of UP’s Japanese Industrial City

YIDA officials stressed on incorporating key points of the Neemrana model in the master plan of the proposed Japanese Industrial City in Uttar Pradesh. This will provide better facilities and faster administrative process to investors.

On-site inspection of Japanese Industrial Park

After the technical session, the YIDA delegation conducted an on-site inspection of the Neemrana Japanese Industrial Park. The team saw and understood first-hand the existing infrastructure, road network and utility management system.

YIDA CEO said – World class Japanese Industrial City will be built in UP

On this occasion, Chief Executive Officer of YIDA, R.K. Singh said that the experiences shared by Rajasthan government and RIICO are extremely useful for YIDA. He said that a world-class Japanese Industrial City will be developed in the Yida region based on land planning, special infrastructure and investor-friendly arrangements.

Industrial development will be connected to Noida International Airport

R.K. Singh said that YIDA’s plan focuses on industrial cluster based development. In this, multimodal connectivity with Noida International Airport (Jewar) is being linked to industrial areas, which will promote investment and exports.

Strong example of cooperation between states

At the conclusion of the tour, the YIDA delegation expressed gratitude to RIICO and the Government of Rajasthan. It was described as a strong example of cooperation between states, which will give a new direction to the industrial development of the country.
