Don’t make these mistakes during Ganesh Puja!
Use of Tulsi is prohibited. Never use Tulsi leaves in the worship of Lord Ganesha. According to mythology, Lord Ganesha has prohibited Tulsi from his worship. Instead of this, offer them ‘Durva’ (Doob grass). Avoid seeing the moon. Seeing the moon on the day of Vinayak Chaturthi is considered inauspicious. It is believed that by seeing the moon on this day, there is a fear of false stigma on the person. Therefore, be careful in the evening. Worship of a broken idol: Never keep a Ganesh idol which is broken or cracked from somewhere at the place of worship. Worshiping a broken idol increases unrest and evil in the house.
While installing Bappa, keep in mind that his face should not be towards the south. At the time of worship, it is considered best to face north or east. Tamasic food and anger: On the day of Vinayak Chaturthi, do not use garlic, onion, meat or alcohol at home. Also, do not get angry at anyone or abuse anyone on this day, otherwise mental peace may be disturbed.
How to do puja correctly?
Wake up early in the morning, take bath and wear clean red or yellow clothes. Install the idol of Lord Ganesha on the post during the auspicious time. Apply vermilion tilak to Bappa and offer it intact. Offer 21 Durva bundles and his favorite modak or laddu to Lord Ganesha. At last, recite Ganesh Chalisa and perform Aarti with the family.
