BCCI has drastically increased the fees of domestic cricketers. The match fee of senior women players will now be Rs 50,000 per day. The fees for junior players has also been increased to Rs 25,000.
Mumbai: BCCI has drastically increased the fees of domestic cricketers. The board has announced an increase of two and a half times in the fees of senior and junior players playing domestic cricket. This decision was taken in the annual general meeting of BCCI held in Mumbai today. Earlier, senior women players playing domestic cricket used to get Rs 20,000 per day match fee, which will now be Rs 50,000. The match fee of reserve players who are not included in the playing eleven has also been increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000. BCCI has taken this decision in view of the increasing popularity of women’s cricket in the country after the Women’s IPL and India’s World Cup victory.
Fees of junior players also increased
Along with increasing the match fees of senior players, BCCI has also increased the fees of junior players. The match fee of junior players playing in the playing eleven has now been increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000. At the same time, the fee of reserve players has been increased from Rs 5,000 to Rs 12,500.
Senior players will get Rs 25,000 and reserve players will get Rs 12,500 match fee for joining the playing eleven in T20 matches. Junior players will get Rs 12,500 and reserve players will get Rs 6,250 for being in the playing eleven in T20 matches. Earlier in 2021, the fees of domestic women cricketers were increased.
