Discussion on seat sharing is going on in the opposition alliance Mahavikas Aghadi regarding Maharashtra Assembly elections. Although there has been no joint meeting of MVA leaders in Mumbai or anywhere else for the last 3 days, but on the instructions of the high command, the leaders are definitely meeting the leaders of the allies regarding the distribution of seats. The morning started with Sanjay Raut’s statement. Raut again said today that the seat sharing formula of MVA will be revealed by evening, just wait. Along with this, he reminded Congress about Haryana and said that at this time MVA needs Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.
By Saturday afternoon, Balasaheb Thorat, who was appointed by Congress to coordinate with UBT, reached Matoshree to meet Uddhav, but in the meantime, due to the statement given by him yesterday in Delhi, all the 3 major parties of MVA are now 90-90-90. Has come on seat sharing, but Thorat, who came out to meet Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai, neither talked about 90 nor about 85, he did say that the meeting with Uddhav Thackeray lasted for about one and a half hours.
Seat distribution was discussed in detail in the meeting, exchange of some seats was also discussed, but Balasaheb Thorat refrained from saying which seat it was. If sources are to be believed, there are still 25 to 30 seats which are stuck between distribution and exchange.
State Congress leadership has failed to deal with Shiv Sena UBT!
At the same time, the state Congress leadership in MVA is not able to make a deal with UBT regarding seat sharing. According to sources, angry over giving some seats of Vidarbha to Uddhav faction, Rahul Gandhi has also reprimanded the Congress leaders. On this news, Raut said that those who sit inside would come out and say such things. I don’t know. He further said that Rahul Gandhi is a very restrained leader. He has knowledge about the politics of Maharashtra. They also know who is in how much water.
However, in gestures, Raut tried his best to show Congress its reality and said that Congress had contested all the seats in Haryana, but could not form the government. Everyone should be taken along. If anyone needs the slogan Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, then Mahavikas Aghadi needs it. We are also talking to Abu Azmi.
At the same time, Thorat said that Rahul Gandhi is not angry over the seat distribution. Rahul is going to come to campaign in Maharashtra. This has been discussed with UBT. Thorat refrained from speaking due to the displeasure of the high command.
Mahayuti leader takes a jibe at differences in MVA
On the other hand, BJP took a dig at the seat sharing of MVA. BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule said that earlier they talked about contesting 100 seats, then they came down to 85 and now it has come down to 90. Bawankule slammed Maharashtra Congress leaders and said that even Rahul Gandhi has reprimanded them. Meanwhile, today Uddhav declared candidates for 15 seats through Saamana and in the afternoon he posted on X and fielded candidates for 3 seats.
After Shiv Sena, Congress released its list of 23 candidates in the afternoon and by evening, NCP also released its new list of candidates. But the way there is a tussle between UBT and Congress and in Vidarbha seat as well as in Mumbai, Uddhav has gone instead of Congress, it can be considered as a big blow for Maharashtra Congress including Nana Patole.
Seat sharing deal near final in Mahayuti
Now if we talk about Mahayuti seat sharing, after returning from Delhi, NCP’s Ajit faction has started campaigning. While starting the election campaign, Sunil Tatkare said that everything will be finalized by Sunday of Mahayuti. Everyone knows what is happening in Maha Vikas Aghadi. Sunil Tatkare indirectly took a dig at MVA. BJP President also said that only 7 to 8 seats are left. The matter will be resolved through final talks soon.
There is also a discussion going on in Mahayuti to agree on Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray contesting from Mahim seat and making Amit a joint candidate. BJP Shinde and Ajit Pawar will get its benefit on those seats where MNS people have not been fielded, but how much will be the matter, this ball has been put in Shinde’s court by BJP.
It will not be easy to understand Sada Saravankar, who is very close to Shinde because he is a sitting MLA. If Shinde faction accepts this proposal, then Shinde faction can definitely benefit from BJP and NCP’s Ajit faction. BJP leaders have said to discuss it.
