Aprilia Tuareg 457 spotted testing; unveiling at EICMA?

Following this year’s success in the Africa Eco Race, Aprilia is raising the bar in off-road, preparing to launch the new Tuareg 457 – recently spotted in public testing in the desert.

According to Moto.it, the tests took place this month in Tunisia with the official Aprilia Guareschi Corse Team. The bike uses the 457cc twin-cylinder engine from the RS 457, producing 47.6 hp, but it has been adjusted for this model.

As for the chassis, the new bike is expected to inherit the frame and suspension from the proven Tuareg 660. The leaked «spy» images reveal a motorcycle with dual front headlights and white coloring, evoking the Tuareg Rally models from the 1990s.

With only a few weeks left until EICMA, there is speculation that the production version of the bike could be unveiled at the event.
