Shri Krishna also had daughters, but their names are rarely found in the Puranas. Sri Krishna and Rukmini had a daughter, Sushila, who was married to the prince of Khandava. Satyabhama begot a daughter named Charumati, who married a prince of the Yadu dynasty. Jambavati had a daughter named Bhadra, who was married to Duryodhana. Satyabhama also had other daughters, whose names were Bhanu, Bhimirika and Jalandhama. History tells us that all the daughters were married into royal families. It is believed that this led to good relations of Dwarka with other states. Some mythological scholars say that daughters played an important role politically and socially.
