New Delhi: An Air India flight, AI887, returned safely to Delhi after the failure of one engine on Monday, December 22. The right-side engine shut down immediately after the takeoff.
The Air India Boeing 777 took off as AI 887 for Mumbai at 6:10 am but was sent back around 6:52, according to flight tracing sites.
An Air India spokesperson confirmed that the flight landed safely back in Delhi and all passengers and crew are safe and have been deplaned after the flight experienced a technical issue.
