Arpit Ranka while presenting his dilemma to Premanand Maharaj said that there is a lot of uncertainty of work in the film and TV industry. He said, “After playing the role of a villain in serials, it often takes a long time to get the next job. In such free time, one starts worrying about the upbringing of the family and the future of the children. I don’t understand how to get out of this mental tension?”
Premanand Maharaj told the solution
Hearing Arpit’s concern, Premanand Maharaj gave a very simple and profound solution. He said that an artist’s life can be a struggle, but its solution lies only in ‘Naam Jaap’.
Utilization of free time: Maharaj ji said that whenever there is no work or you are free, do not spend that time worrying. Use that time to chant the name of God.
The future will be made through penance: He explained that the future becomes beautiful only through penance. Whatever name you chant today, it will open the doors of happiness and success for you in the future.
Special argument given regarding negative characters
While encouraging Arpit, Premanand Maharaj also gave examples of the characters played by him. He said that the villains you played on screen (Ravana, Kansa etc.) were actually great ascetics. Ravana was a great devotee of Lord Shankar, he had immense penance power. Kansa was also an ascetic. This is why when these people sacrificed their lives, God was standing in front of them. Premanand Maharaj stressed that just as those characters did penance to gain power, similarly a man should do penance in the form of ‘Naam Japa’ to remove obstacles in his life.
Advice to act without fear
At the end, Premanand Maharaj gave blessings saying that if you continuously chant the name, Radharani herself will protect the future of your family and children. Stop worrying and focus only on your work and devotion.
