Due to the efforts of Yogi government, the pace of development in Bundelkhand has increased in 2025. Projects like Defense Corridor, Garautha Solar Park, Link Expressway and New Jhansi Scheme are taking shape at the ground level.
Jhansi. The efforts being made by the Yogi government to connect Bundelkhand with the mainstream of development are now clearly visible at the ground level. In the year 2025, many big projects have gained momentum and their works have gained momentum. With these schemes, a new picture of development seems to be emerging in the Bundelkhand region. The government has taken concrete steps on many important works like Defense Corridor, Garautha Solar Park, Chief Minister Urban Expansion Scheme New Jhansi Phase-1, Jalaun-Jhansi Link Expressway and four-laning of the road from Jhansi to Orchha.
Defense Corridor project gains momentum in Jhansi
A 132/33 KV power sub-station has been completed on Gursarai-Erich Road near Gram Panchayat Jhabra for the Defense Corridor being developed in Garautha area of Jhansi. This will provide uninterrupted power supply to the defense corridor. Along with this, Jujharpura drinking water project and many nearby power sub-stations will also benefit from this sub-station. This facility will further accelerate the construction work of the Defense Corridor.
Establishment of defense industry units started
The work of setting up a BDL unit in the Jhansi node of the Defense Corridor has started. Apart from this, WB Electronic has also started the process of setting up its unit in the year 2025. So far, land has been allotted to 14 industrial units. This defense corridor is being developed on a total of 1034 hectares of land in Eruch, Genda Kabula, Kathri, Labhera, Isil and Jhabra villages.
600 MW solar park project gets momentum in Garautha
Yogi government’s plan to develop Bundelkhand as a solar power hub has gained momentum in the year 2025. Solar power developer has been selected for the 600 MW solar power park being built in Garautha tehsil of Jhansi district. Almost 99 percent of the lease agreement related to the land has been completed.
Solar park spread over 2700 acres, thousands of farmers benefited
Garautha Solar Park is being developed over an area of approximately 2700 acres, out of which the acquisition of more than 2650 acres of land has been completed. For this project, land has been taken from more than 2000 farmers, while some part is also government land. The project is spread across Sujanpura, Jalalpura, Jaswantpura, Nadaura, Bararu, Pura, Khadaura and Moti Katra villages.
Fast work on grid sub station and power system also
The work of setting up Garautha Solar Park has been entrusted to Tusco Limited. The works related to civil infrastructure are being completed rapidly by the company. Along with this, the work of establishment of 220/400 KV grid sub-station is also going on at a fast pace, the responsibility of which has been given to Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Limited. At the same time, the work of setting up two pulling sub stations under the Internal Power Evacuation System is being done by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited.
Bundelkhand Industrial Development and New Connectivity
The land acquisition work for Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority is going on at a fast pace in Raksa area of Jhansi. For better connectivity with Bundelkhand Expressway, Yogi government has approved 115 km long link expressway from Jalaun to Jhansi, which will give a new direction to industrial development.
New Jhansi plan and road projects approved
Jhansi Development Authority has started the Chief Minister Urban Expansion Scheme – New Jhansi Phase-1 and the process of allotment of plots has been completed. Apart from this, the proposal of the Public Works Department to convert the road between Jhansi to Orchha from two-lane to four-lane has also been approved.
Inauguration of state-of-the-art convention center
In the year 2025, in the month of October, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the state-of-the-art convention center built near the Polytechnic College of Jhansi. Along with this, many other plans and projects also progressed at a fast pace in the year 2025 and were seen taking shape on the ground.
