A serious case of love jihad has come to light in KGMU, Lucknow. He attempted suicide after being given the condition of conversion in exchange for marriage with the female resident doctor. Police and KGMU administration have started investigation.

A painful story of love, trust and then breakdown

According to the information, a Muslim doctor working in KGMU is accused of luring a female resident doctor into a love trap and having physical relations for a long time. When the female doctor talked about taking the relationship to marriage, the accused made conversion a condition. When the accused refused to accept this condition, they broke the relationship. Hurt by this sudden break in the relationship, the female resident doctor went into deep depression and attempted suicide by consuming a tablet.

Admitted to trauma center, now condition stable.

After attempting suicide, the female doctor was admitted to KGMU Trauma Center in a critical condition. After treatment, his condition improved and currently he has been discharged from the hospital. The family says that he took this step due to mental pressure and deception.

In the complaint given to the police, the family members of the victim said that the female doctor had come in contact with the accused doctor in July 2025. Both grew closer and their relationship lasted for about six months. Family members allege that during this time the accused sexually exploited her by promising her marriage. When the time came to finalize the marriage, the accused set the condition of religious conversion. Upon her refusal, the accused ended the relationship, which left the victim mentally broken.

The matter reached the police and women’s commission

The victim’s family has lodged a complaint with the Public Hearing Portal and the State Women’s Commission, demanding strict action against the accused doctor. As soon as the matter came to light, Lucknow Police and KGMU administration swung into action. According to the police, the statement of the victim is being recorded and all aspects are being investigated.

KGMU administration ordered investigation

KGMU spokesperson Dr. KK Singh said that the matter is very serious and sad. An internal inquiry has been ordered by the institute and necessary action will be taken after the completion of the investigation.

During investigation, it has come to light that the name of the accused doctor has already come into controversies. According to police sources, about 10 months ago the accused had converted another Hindu girl and married her, which later became a cause of controversy. Now the allegation is that after a few months, he also tried to trap another Hindu girl.
