Traveling with Laddu Gopal: In Hindu religion, Laddu Gopal i.e. Bal Gopal is considered not just the idol of God but also the smallest and most loved member of the family. This is the reason why in the houses where Laddu Gopal is present, he is served exactly like a small child. The rule of waking up in the morning till putting to sleep at night and offering bhog from time to time is followed with great devotion. Is it necessary to take Laddu Gopal with you while travelling?
If the journey is of short duration or for some reason it is not convenient to take Laddu Gopal along, then it is not considered necessary to take him along. The most important thing is that your devotion and sense of service towards God remains intact. Before leaving the house, offer them offerings as per the rituals, perform aarti and make requests in your mind about your journey.
Mental worship has special importance
Mental worship is also considered very important in religious texts. If Laddu Gopal is not with you during the journey, then you can serve him in your mind. Imagine with full devotion that you are giving him a bath, wearing new clothes, applying tilak and performing his aarti. It is believed that mental worship done with true heart is also accepted by God.

If you are eating food during the journey, then first mentally offer the same food to Laddu Gopal. After this, eat your food yourself. This feeling is considered to be the medium to convey your devotion to God.
Keep chanting the name while travelling.
Chanting the name of Lord Krishna in free time during the journey is also considered auspicious. Remembrance of mantras like Radhe-Radhe, Hare Krishna, Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevay gives peace to the mind and the journey is also considered auspicious.
Do regular service after returning home
After coming back from the journey, first of all take bath and start regular service of Laddu Gopal with a pure heart. Give them a bath, dress them in clean clothes, offer food and perform aarti. If you have performed mental puja during the journey, then proceed with your daily service with the same devotion.
