A case has been registered against Shashank Singh in Bhopal and apart from assault, many other serious allegations have been made against him. A person named Vipendra Singh has claimed that he was beaten severely by Shashank Singh and his family members. Vipendra Singh alleges that he was called to Bhopal on the pretext of a government job and then he was forced to work at home.

Vipendra Singh said while talking to the media, ‘I was being forced to work. I was called to Bhopal with the promise of a government job and then my mobile was snatched away. Shashank Singh is not the first player to face serious allegations of assaulting servants. Earlier, such serious allegations were also made against former cricketer Vinod Kambli. In the year 2015, Bandra Police had registered an FIR against him. The maid had accused Vinod Kambli of assault. His allegation was that he was also kept locked in the room.

Former Bangladesh cricketer Shahadat Hossain was also accused of assaulting an 11-year-old domestic help. The girl had alleged that Shahadat and his wife beat her badly for a year. When the police filed a charge sheet against both of them, this player remained absconding for some time.
