Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the new terminal of Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati. This new terminal is spread over 1.4 lakh square meters and has the capacity to handle 1.3 crore passengers annually. This new terminal has also undergone massive upgrades to the runway, taxiway and airfield systems. This project will give a new impetus to the connectivity, tourism and economic activities of Assam and will play an important role in the development of the entire North-Eastern region.
