Country’s defense sector will be strengthened, Indian Army will buy 850 modern Kamikaze drones

Under the lessons learned from Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army is preparing to purchase 850 suicide drones. These drones will be used to strengthen the three defense forces and special forces. This proposal of the Indian Army is in the final stages of procurement. Defense sources told ANI that it is likely to be approved soon in the high-level meeting of the Defense Acquisition Council to be held in the last week of this month.

He said that according to this proposal to be implemented under the fast process, the Army will get about 850 hover attack drones with launchers made in the country. He said that the Indian Army already uses a large number of such drones purchased from different places and is now planning to induct around 30,000 drones in future to equip all its combat units.

Credibility will increase in defense

He told that every infantry battalion of the army will now have an Ashwini platoon. This platoon will be responsible for attacking enemy targets and operating drones used in anti-terrorist operations. During Operation Sindoor, the Indian Army used drones on a large scale to target terrorist hideouts inside Pakistan. India had destroyed seven out of nine terrorist hideouts on the first day of this operation. This action was taken in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack, in which 26 people lost their lives.

Subsequently, drones were also used against the Pakistani Army, which had come out strongly to help the terrorists it supported. He told that the enemy suffered heavy losses in the army action and its structures on the borders were also badly damaged.
