CM Bhupendra Patel met Russian business delegation during Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Vadodara. In this meeting, strengthening of economic and industrial cooperation between Gujarat and Russia was discussed, in which many important areas were focused.

Vadodara (Gujarat) [भारत]June 30 (ANI): Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Monday met a delegation of the Russian Federation business delegation to India during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) organized for the Central Gujarat region in Vadodara. The delegation was led by Zlata Antusheva, Head of Government Relations and Financial Sector at the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in India.

According to the Gujarat government, the meeting focused on strengthening Gujarat-Russia economic and industrial cooperation. The discussions included topics such as transportation, smart city development, payment systems, Indian MSMEs, INR-based financial transactions and engagement with Russian company Archem in the specialty chemicals sector and EuroChem in the fertilizers sector. Chief Secretary Manoj Das, Additional Chief Secretary of Industries Department Mamta Verma, Principal Secretary of Energy Department Ashwini Kumar, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sanjeev Kumar and Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Vikrant Pandey attended the meeting.

Focus Sectors of VGRC Central Gujarat

However, the focus areas for VGRC Central Gujarat included Semiconductor & Electronics, IT & ITES, Biotech, Pharmaceuticals, Aerospace & Defence, Fintech, Auto & Auto Components, Dairy & Food Processing, Education, Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Green Energy Ecosystem, Skill Development, Startups, MSME, Tourism and Culture.

According to an earlier release, the districts of Central Gujarat region, such as Ahmedabad, Anand, Chhotaudepur, Dahod, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Mahisagar, Narmada, Panchmahal and Vadodara will be in focus during this VGRC. Apart from this, various seminars will be organized on sectors such as semiconductors, IT/ITeS and emerging technologies, chemicals and petrochemicals, defence, biotechnology, agriculture and food processing, startups, MSMEs, women entrepreneurship, skill development, tourism.

VGRC aims to promote regional industrial development

The release said the VGRC aims to promote regional industrial development, attract sector-specific investments and strengthen global linkages in line with the vision of Develop India 2047. These regional conferences are designed with the aim of transforming and equipping local industries to become global players by providing them market access opportunities.

Through key enablers such as strategic partnerships and investor engagement, the state government aims to accelerate industrial growth while ensuring inclusive and sustainable growth in Gujarat. (ANI)
