In Anupshahr of Bulandshahr, miscreants, posing as fake CBI officers, entered a businessman’s house and looted it in a filmy style. Taking the family hostage, the accused escaped with around Rs 5 lakh in cash and jewellery. Police is busy investigating.
There was chaos in Anupshahr of Bulandshahr on Friday when some miscreants, pretending to be CBI officers, entered the house of a businessman and escaped after committing a major robbery in film style. The miscreants took the entire family hostage and looted about Rs 5 lakh in cash and precious jewellery.
Created fear of action by showing notice
This sensational incident took place in Mohalla Pokhar of Anupshahr Kotwali area. According to the information, 3 to 4 miscreants who arrived on two bikes, posing as CBI officers, reached the house of businessman Shankar Bhagwan Aggarwal. They first showed a fake notice and entered the house fearing any investigation and action.

Mobile phones snatched, family locked in room
As soon as they entered the house, the miscreants snatched the mobile phones of all the family members and locked everyone in a room, so that no one could contact them outside. After this, they collected the cash and jewelery kept in the house and fled from the spot.
There was panic in the police department as soon as the information was received.
After the miscreants left, the family somehow came out of the room and informed the Anupshahr Kotwali police. As soon as the information was received, there was panic in the police department. Heavy police force including Anupshahr Kotwal reached the spot and started investigation after interrogating the victim’s family.
Police checking CCTV, blockade in the area
The police have dispatched teams based on the appearance of the miscreants. Blockade has been imposed in the surrounding areas and footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area is being scrutinized.
SSP Dinesh Kumar Singh said that this incident of robbery has been taken seriously. Continuous raids are being conducted in search of the miscreants and soon the entire matter will be revealed and the accused will be arrested.
