After Senior Men’s Asia Cup 2025, now Under-19 Men’s Asia Cup 2025 is also going to witness the super final. The Indian team has made it to the finals in the ongoing Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 in Dubai. The Indian team, captained by Ayush Mhatre, defeated Sri Lanka by 8 wickets in the semi-finals and made it to the title match and India will face Pakistan in the final. Just like the Senior Asia Cup, once again there will be a battle between India and Pakistan to establish supremacy in Asian cricket. Pakistan has made it to the final by defeating Bangladesh in the second semi-final.
Kanishk-Vihaan gave easy victory
Due to rain in Dubai, both the semi-finals could not start on time and hence the match had to be shortened to 50-50 overs. India and Sri Lanka The match changed to T20 format, in which Sri Lanka batted first and scored 138 runs losing 8 wickets. For Sri Lanka, captain Vimat Dinsara scored 32 runs and Chamika Heenathigala scored 42 runs. Whereas in the lower order, Setmika Senaviratne quickly scored 30 runs, due to which the team was able to reach 138 runs. Spinner Kanishk Chauhan and pacer Henil Patel took 2-2 wickets for India.
But the start of Team India’s counter innings was not good and captain Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Suryavanshi returned to the pavilion after scoring only 25 runs in the fourth over. In such a situation, Sri Lanka had a chance to make a comeback but then Vihaan Malhotra and Aaron George settled at the crease. Both of them batted at a steady pace and did not give wickets to Sri Lanka. During this, first Vihaan Malhotra completed his half-century in just 35 balls and then George also completed his fifty. Together they made an unbeaten partnership of 114 runs and the team reached the target in just 18 overs and got the ticket to the final.
Pakistan defeated Bangladesh
The second final was played between Pakistan and Bangladesh. This match had to be played in 27 overs each, in which Bangladesh batted first. But Bangladesh batsmen could not stand against Pakistani bowling. With the help of Abdul Subhan taking 4 wickets in 6 overs, Pakistan bowled out Bangladesh for just 121 runs in 27 overs. After this, with the help of opener Sameer Minhas’ stormy half-century, Pakistan achieved this target by losing 2 wickets in the 17th over itself and made it to the finals.
India-Pakistan will clash in the final
Now the final of this tournament will be played between India and Pakistan on Sunday 21st October. The Indian team will play the final of this Asia Cup for a record eighth time. Whereas Pakistan has got entry in the final only for the fourth time. The Indian team will enter this final as a contender for the title because it has not lost a single match in the tournament so far. Even in the group stage clash between India and Pakistan, Team India had won.
